Do your clients make appointments on behalf of other clients such as family members? Sometimes some clients may not have the ability to schedule their appointments or have access to online scheduling.
Your business can make this process a lot easier for those clients by allowing another client to book online appointments and manage appointments for them. This feature would be helpful for caregivers and family members who may need to schedule and manage appointments for children.
It's a very simple process, and today we want to show you how you can give one client access to another client's schedule and appointment information. As an example, we'll show you how someone as a family member could manage appointments for their loved one.
Sandra and grandmother are both patients with the same medical practice. Sandra normally calls and schedules appointments for her grandmother, but since their doctor's office now uses online scheduling, she wants to be able to manage her grandmother's appointments online.
Sandra's grandmother is already in the system as a patient with the medical practice, and Sandra is listed as a patient as well. To give Sandra permission to manage her grandmother's appointments using our scheduling system, we would need to:
1. Go to the "Clients" tab
2. Search for Sandra's name
3. Click on the "Client Profile" button
4. Under the "Client Details for Staff Use Only" header, click on the "Edit" button
5. Beside "Clients who this client can access", search for her grandmother's name
6. Click on her name and click the "Save" button
This will allow Sandra to go in and see her grandmother's existing appointments and schedule new appointments.
If your business serves clients who are caregivers, you can also adjust this setting for them as well. This feature is also helpful for parents and children who visit the same medical practice, and the parent wants to book an appointment online for the child, or the parent may need to cancel an appointment.
We hope this tutorial will be helpful as you serve your clients in providing an easier way for them to access your services. Happy scheduling!
