No matter how familiar you are with TimeTap's online appointment scheduling application it's always a good habit to test any changes you make.
If you, for instance, login and add a new set of working hours for a location, it's a good routine to get into to go ahead and click through your appointment scheduler to make sure everything is squared away. The last thing you want is to think you're adding 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. as a new set of working hours but you accidentally select "a.m." instead of "p.m." and suddenly you're taking appointments before the sun's even up.
Here are some fast ways to test the changes you've made once you've hit the "Save" button.
Testing Online Scheduling Changes By Previewing Your Mini Website:
One way to test any scheduling changes you've made is to preview your mini website. You can do this by clicking on the "Preview Scheduler" button in the upper right hand corner from any one of the following pages:
- Scheduler Rules & Logic
- Services & Classes
- Client Information
- Final Confirmation
- Emails & Messaging > Email Template Elements
Each of these pages has a "Preview Scheduler" button and you'll be able to preview the changes you've made. As an example, I've added a description to the "Adobe Illustrator Basics" class and can preview that description on my web scheduler:
Here's what the description looks like on my web scheduler:
But let's say you've made changes to a service, class, location, or staff member profile and would like to test your changes through the private URL instead of through the web handle for your mini website. Here's how you can test those changes.
Testing Your Online Booking Changes Through Private URLs:
In each service, class, location, or member profile there is a private URL which would display on that specific service, class, location, or staff member respectively. So if I make and save a change to a staff member's working hours, I could go back to his/her staff profile and click on that staff member's private URL:
Testing Troubleshooting Checklist:
If you run your test and find that it's not working properly, make sure you've done these things:
1. You've saved the changes you've made so that they'll come through on the scheduler
2. You've refreshed the tab that you're scheduler's open on so that the newly saved information will be called
3. You've selected the proper radio dial buttons as you're working your way through the scheduler
4. Your advance appointments and advance classes setting under "Settings" > "Scheduler Rules & Logic" aren't blocking you from seeing the availability
If you've checked to make sure that these things aren't in the way, feel free to reach out to us so we can look into your online booking settings to see what the problem is.
