Have a successful blog or thinking of starting one soon? If so, today’s post is for you as we look at how bloggers in various niches can enhance their blog’s awesomeness through online scheduling. If you’ve been keeping up with us, you probably already know how versatile taking appointments and offering classes online can truly be. There’s a shoe size for many with our scheduling system, but all it requires is a little thinking outside of the box, and these ideas are innovative you should definitely look into sharing.
Before we delve into the niches, I want to highlight why almost anyone can start a blog. if you’ve been on the fence about starting one, here’s where you can join in. Current bloggers, you can skip ahead to our tips.
The Basic Details
Before you start thinking of your domain name, comparing web hosting services, and picking out themes, first things first you must start thinking about what you have to share with others.
Without considering this first, you might be paddling up the river without direction. So after you’ve considered some things that people are looking for answers or solutions to, then you should narrow down your focus. Why? Choosing a niche has been proven to be more effective than sweeping the map or being all inclusive.
Once you’ve gotten your niche, you’ll need to decide on whether self-hosting or manage hosting is for you. WordPress.org is one of the most popular website/blogging platforms out there. With self-hosting you manage the more technical aspects of your blog & have the option to purchase your own premium/custom themes in addition to more control in terms of your growth and expansion. With a managed blog or by choosing a website builder, you don’t have to take care of the more technical aspects as experts handle those issues. You’ll be able to get your blog up and running faster, but your options may be limited in terms of themes and growth.
From here, if you’ve chosen the self-hosted route, you’ll need to determine your domain name, and one that’s that’s short, easy to say, and remember. If your domain name has dashes or an odd spelling, beware because it may not be as easy to spread by word of mouth. In some cases, you may be able to use your own domain name for managed hosting.
If you’ve continued on the self-hosted route, you’ll then need to choose a web hosting provider, and from there set up your blog. If you’ve chosen the managed route, you should be able to get started customizing and setting up your blog faster as you’ll be able to bypass choosing a domain name & web hosting provider.
And now here’s how you could add a little extra awesomeness with online scheduling. If you can think of some other niches & ways that online scheduling could be used to grow the audience, share your thoughts with us!
